About the Journal
PAAU Archives of Biomedical Sciences is a peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal committed to advancing cutting-edge knowledge in the biomedical sciences. The journal publishes high-quality original research articles, review papers, case reports, and short communications that contribute significantly to the understanding of basic medical sciences, translational research, and their applications in health and disease. Aims and Objectives
The journal aims to:
- Provide a reputable platform for researchers, academics, and clinicians to disseminate innovative findings in biomedical sciences.
- Promote interdisciplinary research that bridges basic biomedical sciences and clinical applications.
- Foster scholarly exchange within Nigeria, Africa, and the global research community, with particular emphasis on issues relevant to developing regions, including tropical medicine, public health challenges, and emerging biotechnologies.
PAAU Archives of Biomedical Sciences is indexed and archived in Google Scholar, OpenAIRE, Zenodo, CrossRef, and the PKP Preservation Network, ensuring long-term digital preservation, discoverability, and global visibility.
The journal operates a strict double-blind peer-review process and follows international best practices in scholarly publishing. It adopts a fully Open Access model under a Creative Commons license, ensuring free, immediate, and equitable access to published research. The journal is published biannually (June and December), with online versions released ahead of print. All accepted articles are assigned Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) to guarantee permanent accessibility and citation integrity.
