About the Journal

The Journal of Cardiometabolic Research and Public Health (JCRPH) is a peer-reviewed, open-access, biannual international journal published by the Cardiometabolic Research and Awareness Foundation (CMRAF). The journal is dedicated to the dissemination of high-quality, evidence-based research addressing the prevention, diagnosis, management, and policy dimensions of cardiometabolic diseases, with particular relevance to Africa and other low- and middle-income regions, while also welcoming contributions from scholars worldwide.

JCRPH provides an interdisciplinary platform covering, but not limited to, cardiology, endocrinology, metabolic and nutritional sciences, public health and epidemiology, preventive medicine, health policy, non-communicable diseases, and global health. The journal publishes original research articles, review articles, short communications, case reports, and public health reports, all of which undergo a rigorous double-blind peer-review process to ensure scientific quality and integrity.

The journal operates a fully Open Access publishing model under Creative Commons licensing and is published twice yearly (June and December) with an online-first publication option. All accepted articles are assigned Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) to guarantee permanent accessibility, visibility, and citation integrity.

  • Plagiarism Threshold: Manuscripts must not exceed 20% similarity, verified using Turnitin.
  • File Format: Submissions must be in Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) format.
  • Submission Policy: JCRPH accepts online submissions only. Manuscripts sent via enquiry email will not be processed.
  • Submission Guidance: Authors are strongly encouraged to watch the Submission Video to ensure accurate and complete submission.
  • Referencing Policy: Authors are advised to cite indigenous and regionally relevant scholars where applicable. At least 70% of references should be from works published within the last ten (10) years, except in clearly justified exceptional cases.

Journal of Cardiometabolic Research and Public Health (JCRPH)

The Journal of Cardiometabolic Research and Public Health (JCRPH), a peer-reviewed, open-access, biannual international journal published by the Cardiometabolic Research and Awareness Foundation (CMRAF), invites original, high-quality, and evidence-based manuscripts for its inaugural issue, Volume 1, Issue 1 (June 2026).

JCRPH provides a multidisciplinary platform for the dissemination of research on the prevention, diagnosis, management, and public health implications of cardiometabolic diseases, with particular relevance to Africa and other low- and middle-income regions, while welcoming global scholarly contributions.

Scope of the Journal

Manuscripts are invited in, but not limited to, the following areas:
