Open Access Policy

The Journal of Cardiometabolic Research and Public Health (JCRPH) adheres to internationally recognized principles of open access publishing and open science, with the objective of promoting the free and equitable dissemination of scholarly research. All articles published in JCRPH are made immediately and permanently available online, without subscription fees or access restrictions.

JCRPH operates under a Creative Commons license, which allows users to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, link to, and reuse published articles for legitimate scholarly and educational purposes, provided that proper attribution is accorded to the original authors and the journal. This licensing framework supports knowledge sharing while safeguarding academic integrity.

Authors publishing in JCRPH retain full copyright of their work and grant the journal a non-exclusive right of first publication. This policy enables authors to disseminate their work broadly, including through institutional repositories and academic networks, while ensuring appropriate acknowledgment of the original publication source.

The journal does not levy subscription or access fees on readers. Any article processing charges (APCs) applied by JCRPH are used exclusively to support editorial administration, peer-review coordination, DOI registration, digital archiving, platform maintenance, and the long-term preservation of scholarly content.

This Open Access policy aligns JCRPH with global best practices and ethical standards in scholarly publishing, including those advocated by the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) and the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), while contributing to the advancement of cardiometabolic and public health research, particularly in Africa and other low- and middle-income regions.
